How It Works
Sleep locks your focus by taking over the screen at bedtime. Set a wake-up time, tap Sleep, and put the phone down. The screen stays on but nothing competes for your attention. When your alarm fires, tap Stop to dismiss it.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I exit sleep mode early?
Press and hold the red Quit button for 2 full seconds.
A circular progress ring fills as you hold โ release early and it resets,
so accidental taps won't interrupt your session.
Will the alarm sound if my phone is on silent?
When Sleep is in the foreground, it uses an alert sound that also
triggers vibration on silent mode. For maximum reliability, enable
notifications โ Sleep will send a local notification at your alarm time
that plays sound regardless of the ringer switch.
Will the screen turn off during sleep mode?
No. Sleep keeps your display active using iOS's idle timer override, so
the clock stays visible and the alarm can fire on time.
What if I set an alarm time that's already passed?
The app compares hours and minutes only, so if you set 7:00 AM tonight,
it will fire at 7:00 AM tomorrow morning โ exactly as expected for a
bedtime routine.
Does Sleep collect any of my data?
No. Sleep has no accounts, no analytics, and no network access.
Everything stays on your device. See our
Privacy Policy for full details.
Why does Sleep ask for notification permission?
Notifications let Sleep deliver your alarm even if iOS moves the app to
the background. You can deny this permission โ the in-app alarm will
still work as long as Sleep remains open on screen.
The alarm didn't go off. What should I check?
Make sure Do Not Disturb is off, or add Sleep to your DND allowed apps.
Confirm the alarm time is set correctly in the wheel picker before
tapping Sleep. Enabling notifications is the most reliable setup.
